Since my arrival, Susan Shepard has been acting as the Music Coordinator of our parish. She is doing it pro bono and for the love of OLM. I would like to formally appoint her as OLM’s Music Coordinator. Thank you, Susan, for your time in spite of your busy schedule! Church singing is not entertainment. It is an integral part of our worship. There is a saying that is usually attributed to St. Augustine that says, “He who sings well, prays twice.” In other words, when we sing, we are also actually praying. Me gustaría nombrarla formalmente como Coordinadora Musical de OLM. ¡Gracias, Susan, por tu tiempo a pesar de tu apretada agenda! El canto en la iglesia no es entretenimiento. Es una parte integral de nuestra adoración. Hay un dicho que se suele atribuir a San Agustín que dice: “El que canta bien, reza dos veces”. En otras palabras, cuando cantamos, también estamos orando. ¡Cantemos nuestras oraciones a Dios y hagámoslo bien!
