Our Lady of the Mountains Mass Reopening Information and Guidelines
To our parishioners and visitors:
After much thought and prayerful consideration, we are pleased to announce that reservations will no longer be required for attendance at our weekend Masses. We appreciate the diligent efforts of Mass-goers who have been following social distancing and hygiene measures since the pandemic began, and ask that all attendees continue to be mindful of such measures, as we intend to follow the lead of the County, which still has a mask mandate in place. Thank you for your efforts in keeping our parish a safe and healthy place to be and pray. We look forward to seeing you at Mass!

Después de mucho pensamiento y consideración en oración, nos complace anunciar que ya no será necesario hacer reservaciones para asistir a nuestras misas de fin de semana. Apreciamos los esfuerzos diligentes de los que han asistido a misa y han estado siguiendo las medidas de distanciamiento social e higiene desde que comenzó la pandemia, y pedimos que todos los asistentes continúen siendo conscientes de todas estas medidas, ya que tenemos la intención de seguir el ejemplo del Condado, que todavía requiere el uso de máscaras. Weekend Mass Schedule:
Saturday Vigil: 5:30pm
Sunday: 8:00 am, 10:00 am, and 12:00 pm (Spanish)
Health and Safety:
Dispensation for the obligation to attend Mass continues. For those who wish to attend, please observe the following guidelines:
- Social Distancing – Maintain distance of 6 feet apart.
- Face Mask/Covering – To be worn during Mass.
- Use of hand sanitizer and/or washing hands – Required before entering the church.
- Limit gatherings or congregating before and after Mass.
- Sanitization of spaces will occur between each Mass.
- Donation box for your weekly collection (which is very much appreciated) is in the Gathering Area. We highly encourage you to make your gift online or through bill pay at your local bank. The online giving link is found at the bottom of our website homepage.
- Hymnals and Missalettes have been removed from the pews. You can use your mobile phone to access readings by using the myParish app, or pick up a Missalette from the Gathering Space prior to the beginning of Mass. To download the myParish App, please go to the app store and search myParish, Catholic Life Every Day and download. The diocese continues to weight the possibility of singing v. potential virus spread.
- Distribution of Communion will only be served in the hand.
- The faithful should extend their hands making as flat a surface as possible.
- The minster will take care to grab the host by the edge and place the opposite edge into the hand of the communicant.
- The communicant should step to the side, lower her/his mask/face covering and consume the Body of Christ.
- Precious Blood will not be served.
Please do not consider coming to Mass if you can answer yes to one of these questions:
~ You are a “high-risk individual” : Those identified as 65 years of age and older, those living in a nursing home or long-term care facility, and those of all ages with underlying medical conditions.
~ You are ill or someone in your family is ill.
~ You have had a fever in the past 72 hours.
~ You have recently lost lost your sense of taste or smell.
~ You have lesions on your feet or hands that loosely resemble chickenpox.
~ If you have recently arrived in the state, particularly if you have traveled from a COVID “hot-spot”, please consider self-quarantining for fourteen days before attending Mass. A dispensation from the Sunday obligation continues to be granted at this time. Weekend Masses are posted to the homepage of our website, and to our Facebook page (@OLMCatholicChurch).
In the rare instance if an individual is unwilling to follow the above guidelines and poses a risk to others, he/she may be denied access to the church. This is for the protection of all God’s people.
