As a review, the task of this Team is to create a Vision, as well as develop Action Plans, for our parish. We are asking the questions: What do we want our parish to look like 10 years from now, 3 years from now, and 1 year from now? And, what do we need to start doing NOW to achieve that Vision?
The Team has now met 4 times over the past two months and has completed a first task of identifying the “current state” of the parish. We have: reviewed a great deal of data from over the past 10 years; completed a “S.W.O.T. Analysis” (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats); and, looked at the history of Our Lady of the Mountains, from the 1920’s to present. We have also considered goals that the diocese is asking us to consider.
The next task is to use all that data to begin developing Goals and Action Steps for achieving those Goals. However, one other important action was necessary: asking you, all our parishioners, to give us input as to what you think we need to start doing to make our parish better. As you know, we did that over the past few weeks by asking you to fill out those cards during Mass. The response was wonderful! Over 100 of you have provided valuable recommendations!
After collating your comments, as well as all the data analysis we did, we have now identified six “Action Areas” that we will begin to focus on over the coming weeks and months. They are:
Our Lady of the Mountains Action Areas (2021)
- Strong Catholic Youth Ministries
- Grow into One Catholic Community (Anglo & Latino united)
- Our Lady of the Mountains Community (lay persons) more highly engaged in all ministries
- Joyous socialization, sacramental celebrations, outreach, and evangelization
- Powerful, spirit-filled, and high-quality Music Ministry
- Formation for Discipleship (“Metanoia”)
The Pastoral Planning Team will now start developing and executing Goals and Action Steps to begin to make each of the “Our Lady of the Mountains Action Items” become reality.

Informe de su Equipo de Planificación Pastoral Parroquial
Como revisión, la tarea de este Equipo es crear una Visión, así como desarrollar Planes de Acción, para nuestra parroquia. Estamos haciendo las preguntas: ¿Cómo queremos que se vea nuestra parroquia dentro de 10 años, dentro de 3 años y dentro de 1 año? Y, ¿qué debemos comenzar a hacer AHORA para lograr esa Visión?
se reunió 4 veces durante los últimos dos meses y ha completado una primera tarea de identificar el “estado actual” de la parroquia. Hemos: revisado una gran cantidad de datos de los últimos 10 años; completó un “S.W.O.T. Análisis ”(Fortalezas, Debilidades, Oportunidades, Amenazas); y examinó la historia de Nuestra Señora de las Montañas, desde la década de 1920 hasta la actualidad. También hemos considerado metas que la diócesis nos pide que consideremos.
La siguiente tarea es utilizar todos esos datos para comenzar a desarrollar Metas y Pasos de acción para lograr esas Metas. Sin embargo, otra acción importante era necesaria: preguntarles a todos nuestros feligreses. , para darnos su opinión sobre lo que cree que debemos comenzar a hacer para mejorar nuestra parroquia. Como saben, lo hicimos durante las últimas semanas pidiéndoles que llenaran esas tarjetas durante la Misa. ¡La respuesta fue maravillosa! ¡100 de ustedes han brindado recomendaciones valiosas!
Después de recopilar sus comentarios, así como todo el análisis de datos que hicimos, ahora hemos identificado seis “áreas de acción” en las que comenzaremos a enfocarnos en las próximas semanas y meses.

1. Ministerios juveniles católicos fuertes
2. Crecer en una sola comunidad católica (anglo y latinos unidos)
3. Comunidad de Nuestra Señora de las Montañas (laicos) más comprometida en todos los ministerios
4. Socialización alegre, sacramental celebraciones, outre ach, y evangelización
5. Ministerio musical poderoso, lleno de espíritu y de alta calidad
6. Formación para el discipulado (“Metanoia”)
El Equipo de Planificación Pastoral ahora comenzará a desarrollar y ejecutar Metas y Pasos de Acción para comenzar a hacer que cada uno de los de los elementos de acción de las Montañas ”.
